Terms of service

Effective October 25, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Datacat LLC, doing business as Chef ("we"), for using Chef. By signing in, you agree to them. Questions: hello@datacat.com.

What Chef is

Chef gives a business a team of AI agents that plan, research, write and build. The agents work inside limits you control: budgets, what they may use, and your approval before anything leaves the business (emails, purchases, publishing, filings and similar).

Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for your businesses on Chef, for what you approve, and for checking agents' work before you rely on it.
• AI agents make mistakes. Their output is not legal, financial, tax or other professional advice.
• Don't use Chef for anything unlawful, to harm others, to send spam, to deceive people about who they are dealing with, or to try to break its security.
• Keep your Google account secure; you are responsible for what happens under it.

Payment

Businesses pay for their agents' AI use from a prepaid balance you fund by card. Each model call is charged at its cost plus Chef's fee, shown on the Billing page. Agents pause when the balance runs out. For refunds of unused balance, email hello@datacat.com.

Your content

You own what you and your agents create in Chef. You give us the rights we need to store and process it to run Chef for you. We handle your information as described in the privacy policy.

Changes and ending

Chef is new and will change. We may update these terms; we will post changes here and tell you of significant ones. You can stop using Chef at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Disclaimers and liability

Chef is provided as is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
